With the colder months creeping closer I have resigned myself to the fact that my natural summer’s glow is gone for another year. You know the one that I’m talking about, that instant dewiness and vibrancy that only comes around when the skies are clear and the sun is hot. In an effort to chase that eternal radiance even during the harshest of icy days, I began to comb through beauty brand after beauty brand both makeup and skin care in the quest for the perfect complexion. So here I am, sharing with you all the final results of that search. Some of the items featured were well loved and used products, staples in my beauty regime, while others are new discoveries but the overall effect has been reinvigorating. No longer am I fearing dull and lifeless skin this winter, armed with this combination of super brighteners I am totally prepared.
L’Oréal
L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation $12.99
This little powerhouse foundation is a true gem. At an amazing price, it’s an easy application with a light and creamy consistency and a super long lasting medium coverage. Once on it gives a nice natural inner glow to the skin. It also comes in a variety of shades for almost any skin color. To boost up the glow to 11, I like to mix in the By Terry Cellularose brightening CC lumi serum but it totally isn’t necessary as the foundation works fabulously on its own.
By Terry
By Terry Cellulose Brightening CC Lumi-Serum $91
Now this is a little bit of a pricier purchase but totally worth the money. It is formulated with white rose native cells and instantly leaves the skin feeling plumper, smoother, and with a natural radiance due to the light-reflecting properties found within the product. As I mentioned I like to mix directly with my foundation of choice which I have found helps to make the product last a little longer. However, it can be worn alone or underneath a foundation for equally amazing results.
Laura Mercier
Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder $38
If you have read any of my beauty posts before you will be no stranger to my love of all things Laura Mercier. It is one of my all time favorite beauty brands particularly when it comes to powders, concealers, and highlights. So when I first learned about the new candleglow collection I was ecstatic. My happiness only grew once I got my hands on the products. Designed to mimic the effects of candlelight on the skin this whole range gives your complexion a soft luminosity that is both subtle yet impactful at the same time. In particular, my favorite product from the range is the candleglow sheer perfecting powder. I use it to set my foundation and concealer for the perfect finish to my look.
Erno Laszio
Erno Laszio White Marble Sheet Mask $80 for a pack of 6
This item was a little bit of a new discovery for me. I was familiar with the brand Erno Laszio having been a fan of their cleansers for a while now but I had never tried their sheet masks before. So when they popped up on Sephora with such a high review rating I had to give it a try for myself and I am so glad that I did. This is truly a powerhouse of a sheet mask. A lot of times I feel very wishy-washy on this type of product feeling that their clay and gel counterparts tend to work better and show more results. However, this mask works wonders both incredibly hydrating and brightening while also being very gentle on skin. It is absolutely one of the best one-stop treatments for a no-fuss beauty regime.
Mally
Mally Perfect Prep Hydrating Under-Eye Brightener $35
An old staple from my beauty regime. I have been using the Mally perfect prep hydrating under-eye brightener for a while now. One of my constant beauty struggles has always been dark circles under my eyes. No matter how much sleep I get or cold compresses I put over my eyes nothing seems to get rid of them. It was so much of a struggle that I spent about a year trying out different concealers that would work well enough to cover them and nothing really worked. Until a beauty editor friend of mine suggested that I try this product and I was instantly hooked. They yellow color base works to reduce the bluish undertones beneath the eye to level out and brighten your complexion.
Vichy Laboratoires
Vichy Laboratoires Double Glow Peel Mask $20
Another one of my super staples. I’ve been using this mask for ages and it always comes with me whenever I travel. It is the perfect instant pick me up for dull dry skin and has a bit of volcanic rock and fruit acid that act as a mild abrasive to remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate the complexion. On days I am shooting for the site I will always make sure to use this beauty and for the price, it can’t be beat!
June Jacobs
June Jacobs Brightening Moisturizer $85
Bow down to one of the best moisturizers I have ever used. Packed with super skin savers such as sweet almond extract, shea butter, lemon peel extract, bearberry root, mulberry root and licorice extract it is the perfect combination of radiance boosting and hydrating and is fantastic at balancing the overall appearance of the skin so is perfect for anyone with combination complexions. Truly a beauty must have for anyone collection.
Sesderma
C-VIT Radiance Glowing Fluid $50
This serum is radiance in a bottle. A powerful vitamin c formula that is perfect for diminishing dark spots and evening out skin tones it is the perfect base to use in your brightening regime. I like to use it underneath my moisturizer as a first line of defense against winter’s elements. It also works fantastic in the summer on days where you don’t want to put on a heavier moisturizer.
I hope you have enjoyed this post! Let me know if you use any of the products that I mentioned and if you love them as much as I do.
